John Reed is an awesome tuner, people don't fly him out to other countries to tune their cars for nothing! In fact all the guys at RRev are very knowledgable.

$1000 for full AEM tunes is pretty normal. Most of the time you will need the car for a few days to get the cold start and everything right. Its not like a flash ware you get the wot can cruse trims right and everything else just works right. The AEM you have to tune every angle from cold start, idle, cruse, wot, decal fuel. Lots of angles that stock computers just do with out you thinking about it.

nope not yet... i dusted off my tactrix cable and tweaked my injector latency and scaling so it doesn't run pig rich.

i also flashed my firmware up to 15 from 13 and fixed my mivec map a bit.

i'm waiting for word from jb for when he's ready for a tune after he gets settled in.

Fair enough. Let me know how it goes . Weather is getting better so we should be able to get a clean shot down the 40st exit .

wow a few days to tune an AEM..... Not try to knock anyones skills here but I have had my car tuned on AEM and it took a few hours. Also 1000 for AEM tunes is really not the going price maybe around here it is but Jester does them for 450 same price as a full Open ECU tune i will find out more prices here in the next few days. Yes there is alot more with the AEM but it is also alot better than open ECU.

Are you out of your mind? Honestly, you think anyone is going to tune an aem with no base flash for $450? I really don't think you have any clue what you are talking about. There are a lot more maps that need to be tuned on an aem then a stock ecu, read Lucas' post again. And yes 1000 dollars is a good price for a full aem tune with no base.
