Chris i think that he is trying to keeping it clean while still sharing his opinion with the community, i know that it is not your opinion and it is your thread, but what good is a forum with only one point of view?

Mr. Furley, I think it would be helpful it you gave some more detail in your posts.

In the past i have had a bad experience at WorldOne involving an employee who is no longer there. I had made a comment about how i had a bad taste in my mouth with this shop in one of chris's threads a while back. Garrett took the time out and sent me a very polite and professional pm explaining the situation and seeing if there was anyway that he could help that bad taste go away. He is a very nice guy and has truly impressed me as a person and a businessman.

The thing i look for in a shop is not only when they do a good job, but how they handle the situation when they drop the ball. Worldone has proven to me that they know how to make a bad situation right. The ability to do this speaks volumes.
Which was it? To my knowledge we have only tuned a single evo, and he has posted in this thread. There are others that we have "flashed" with a base map, but we certainly didn't create the map. We have since ceased "flashing" ecus.

I was probably a car that was just based flashed. I dont remember who it was just remember what the timing map looked like. It was someone at the last dyno day at drift office

Yeah...

I will not comment on where our base maps came from, but its a well known source. As I mentioned we don't flash ecu's with base maps any more and haven't done so for a few months.

Theres only one we actually "tuned," and that car came out very nicely. Our tuner Trent is very meticulous, and a true perfectionist. He is willing to talk to anyone about their car or the tuning process. w1.tuner@gmail.com is his contact.

Thanks.

Why were you guys base flashing with a map you didn't create? This seems like a recipe for disaster and has already hurt the shop's name

The few times we did reflash customers ecu's they were told who produced the map and it was confirmed that the provided map was appropriate for the set up the car is equipped with.

Flashing ECUs with base maps, or "email flashing" is a well discussed topic on this board, and we no longer participate in this practice. We stopped doing this many month ago.

It should be noted that each time we did flash an ECU we took and retained a data log.

Guys all in all this was done less than 3 times, and each time it was at the customers request. We never advertised the service.

In any event, its not something we still do.
