losing faith

Hi all none of you know me. I intruduced myself a few month back im stationed a ft lewis but in iraq right now. I own a 04 subaru wrx at the time when i bought it (2004) i couldnt afford a 30K+ sti or evo. I always loved the evo I had my dad trade his wrx in for a evo and thats how I got on to this site. Me and my Dad talk alot of s*@^ to each other all in good fun. I have spent alot of money in my car and will be spending more very soon. Im expected to make 330WHP when I get back. But my dad has busrted my bubble and was telling me with TBE and protuned he was told he should be making 300WHP . So im thinking of canning the WRX as a track car and saving my money to by used evo 8 as my project car instead. I dont think I can stand to put anymore money into the subie and struggle to get 400WHP . Just wanted to know if there was anyone that had a WRX that went to an evo for the same reasons. Any suggestions on if buying an evo 9 would be a better track car instead of evo 8? But I get back to Lewis soon and will have the subie in lewis as well hope to get to meet some of you guys around the area. But just I needed to Vent.
Thanks
Kurt

I use to have a WRX wagon a couple of years ago and traded in for a evo.

This is my second evo and I personally think that you should trade your subie in for a evo but I'm a bit bias

You could always trade your wrx for a sti but I think you get more bang for the buck with the evo, either way you can't go wrong.

g/l with you decision and be safe.

I don't have any experience with Subis, but I can tell you that 400 WHP on an Evo is still considered a pretty mildly modified car Also, it's easily achievable spending under $2k. Whatever decision you come to, good luck, and yeah, thanks for serving in our US armed forces.

EVO 9 is a great platform to build from. From daily use to all out track, the EVO would be my choice over the WRx or STi. From cost of mods to HP gain ratio, to all around looks....EVO is the way to go!

As a prior Active Duty and now Reservist Aircrew in the AF...thanks for what you are doing over there and stay safe brother!

Drew I didn't know you where AD or reserve now! Btw, got the ComputStar working juuuuuust fine now.

Anyway, back on topic, go for the Evo! You won't be disapointed bro! I just PCSed out of Lewis last week and got back from the sand box a few weeks ago. Get home safe and have some fun with whatever car you go/stick with!
