Never again...

So I let my girlfriend drive my Lancer while I was at work earlier this week, and when I start it up the next morning I immediately notice a lot more vibration coming from the engine, and in general there's a "wrong" feeling coming from the car.
I took it in to T&C in Milwaukie this morning (I was in the neighborhood), and they said the front and rear engine mounts are broken. How the hell does that happen?

Repeated abuse over a long period of time from the driver.

Sounds like you shouldn't be driving it.

Hit an unmarked dug-up manhole doing 45 on a road that's being repaved, apparently.
At least the wheels aren't messed up.
