Oh and blame the WRC class for the death of the Evo, the Imp and the celica. Bring back the Group A rules. None of this one off special cars crap.

Make a real one, sell it to the public and have the teams use that car as a base to build their rally cars again. Mitsubishi won Group N (P-WRC) last year (with a IX none the less).

I have the same book, GTisRule, it's really good, I picked it up last year. Kinda pricey, but worth it if your into Mitsubishis.

I can't believe that, the Evolution X uses stamped steel control arms? Weak sauce man, that used to be one of the reasons suspension on Evos were nicer than DSMs, I cant believe they cheaped out on these new cars.

In what way is the 3 stiffer from the 1 & 2? Differences come in the engine, control arms, slight sway bar differences, etc.... Nothing to do realy with chassis reinforcement...

This was back when the WRX at the time was still running the low wing and just looked like a glorified version of the regular Imp. They went to the larger wing from about 98+ if i remember correctly.

You have to be careful with the histories according to the origin of the book though. Just as with the VIII-X here there were slight differences in trims between territories for the older cars.

I've always wanted a hybrid setup. Take the VI (chassis/suspension), do whatever it will take to get it to work with the VIII engine (sorry not a big fan of the MIVEC on the IXs) and you've got the best of both worlds.
Yeah, the more reading I've been doing would put the V over an IV at the moment. The V got the uprated brembos and much larger wheel arches, plus the V is when they started using aluminum fenders, etc. The IV did have the aluminum hood according to the book though.
