I ran a carfax on it before i purchased it. it was in a minor front end collision in like 2005, you can see a little spot where they hammered it back and repainted it. not near the frame, it was higher behind the head light. and the rebuilt title was due to "damage". They guy i bought it from, bought it off co-part in Cali, when he bought it, it was still stirpped donw and he replaced all the parts with OEM parts and i have all the noterized documents for the purchase of the parts. so i am not too worried about any structual damage. i have been under the car when i changed the oil, and did not see anything that look wierd or crickled.

Very cool. I'd hate to hear of troubles down the line. Great find!

I wasn't aware you could finance a totaled vehicle? Is it different for a rebuilt/salvaged title?

the place i got the loan through would only finance 50% of the NADA value. My insurance is through Progressive and they didn't have any issues insuring it.

If your rates seem unreasonable, try AAA. They bent over backwards to get my rates on my Evo low. $430 for 6 months full coverage.
