30k service quotes (ballpark)

It is time to get the whip in for the 30k. I have gotten quotes as high as ~$600 with a minor detail included (not through a dealer, obviously) to ~$400. That seems about what I would expect, but wondered what other people have gotten quoted, and any recommedations on shops. Thanks, all!

Um, I do all my service by myself.

Seriously, go search for "30K service" and you'll be suprised what $600 bucks is getting you..... which is just about everything you can do yourself.

At least you didnt get quoted $1,400 for a 30k service..... *grumbles about Mitsubishi Dealerships and walks off*

I don't know that I'll have the time, especially before I'll need to head down to ER, but I'll look some more. I'm definitely not biting at $600, but $400 or less is tempting.

Yeah 30k services are pretty straight forward and $400-500 seems about right.I was a tech at toyota for over a year and a half and thats about how much they charged too. If you are confident, do it yourself it will save a lot of $$$ but if you are pressed for time with family and work try ER. I believe Aaron offers all of the factory Evo services, it is a pretty far drive to do that though

I am heading down there pretty soon, so that is an option. I can definitely do it all myself (got a nice ramp setup off CL in the last 6 months, too) but time is more of the essence than normal.

My wife is going to start working from home more soon, so I might be able to take advantage of that for a couple hours (the 3 kids is the kicker, one of which just turned 1 a couple months ago).

How's the car? Everything fixed with the leak?

If only we all had more time

As for the car, yeah it seems all fixed up, I put 60 miles on it so far and everything held up. Other than an oil change coming up it shouldn't need anything else so I am keeping my fingers crossed

30k service = inspect everything, change diff, tranny, xfer case fluids, replace drive belts, air filter, and cabin filter. The last two are definitely do it yourself. $400 seems steep for the rest.

If English Racing is too far, try Westwerks in Redmond (I am a satisfied customer).

+1. Did the 30k with these guys and no issues. Don't remember how much it was though....

I actually haven't called them and planned on it. They are usually good on their prices I know. I still might squeeze it in - really depends on my wife's schedule. Thanks all!
