Sorry to hear about your WGA Matt. I'll be getting tuned down at ER mid-next week (like 8/25, or so). Hopefully things will hold together on my mostly stock setup.

I had almost identical #'s as you Matt (432whp/372lb-ft, I think). Power hits a little later than stock (I swear it feels close though; offset a bit with the new IC/piping from ETS, maybe) but it hits hard and flatlines from 6500 all the way past 8k. It wants to do more but won't bust through 27psi.

I am using the AEM Tru Boost and wondering if going back to a MBC and/or maybe external wastegate would have an impact here. Let me know how things go with your setup! There has to be something obvious since we are having the same issue.

BTW - Aaron, Jake, TJ, and of course Lucas did an awesome job down at ER, as usual. I can't thank them enough and can't wait for whatever is next!

Which actuator did you guys get with the Red? Step it up to the 25 psi actuator...

That was one item that wasn't on the upgrade plan for me beforehand, which probably would have broken the plateau that I hit. I'm not sure what Matt is running, though.

Mine has the 18psi WGA from FP and I'll probably get the HP one. Been laid up and busy since the tune so haven't been able to get on it. dammit...

I just think it's odd that both of our cars can't boost past 27 psi and we both have the "speed density". I should be going into ER sometime next week for a REtune. we will see...

damn - big money! I don't think I need to worry about the TB yet and I'm happy with everything else I'm at (ETS IC/piping, Odyssey mini-battery). I have the Magnus already but I'm not fully utilizing the potential yet since the 27psi wall. (that isn't entirely black and white true, so don't flame me. )

I'm actually hooking up with Aaron tomorrow to work on my tune a bit (getting some fairly consisten knock and some weird issue in 6th) but I'm figuring the 27psi battle will be for a later day. I don't think the SD is the issue - I mean Aaron is running it on his personal car which is a monster. It is very weird, though. Keep us posted, buddy!

1/4, I assume? Any date/track in particular, or the first one available? I'm really interested to see that as I likely won't hit the track anytime soon (stock clutch + economy = not now). I'll let you know what happens tomorrow but I don't think it will be earth shattering.

Well I took the car down to Aberdeen today to see if Aaron could look at some minor yet consistent knock since my tune. I also had to meet 03lances down there to get him some parts I sold him.

Well after my previous tune down at ER, I was only able to drive the car a bit since soon thereafter I sprained my ankle and was out of commission for 1.5 weeks. On the way down to Aberdeen I didn't get on it too much but I did notice that I wasn't really seeing knock, at least not enough to set off the indicator. I wondered if maybe I got a bad tank of gas after leaving ER (yes...I went to Safeway...).

So Aaron sets up the laptop for logging and we go on a small drive. He notices that one possible reason for knock is that I'm in a part of the map I didn't hit before on this tune. Basically, I was hitting as high as 32psi and tapering to 26-27 at 7700rpm without a proper tune at those levels, really. (Aaron of course cleaned things up at the higher levels) Again, not having driven much since the initial tune and having the 27psi plateau at the Deception Pass cruise (the last major bit of driving) I wasn't even looking at the gauge much.

So basically something happened at some point, maybe the actuator was "sticky" being new, or something else, but it seems to be hitting and holding boost well now. The butt dyno on the way home (a couple times I hit it, as there was traffic) also says it has woken up. Now I just need to get back down to a dyno, either at Drift Office or possibly ER! Thanks again, Aaron!
