That's why I asked... I see this a lot on evo hoods and it's like someone didn't even bother looking in the engine bay. It cools nothing directly, any air it's letting in can go right out the hood vent, i think it would hurt the pressure differential for the radiator and intercooler a bit, and it isn't an inlet for the air intake... I can only guess it's just another ricer aesthetic because air inlets are cool no matter where they are.

Boost control can make a pretty good difference. I put those out those numbers with similiar mods myself but run Ecuboost. Most MBC cars I have seen put down atleast 20whp less with similiar mods. Curious as to what the OP is running for bc and how much boost? If it's an mbc those are indeed very impressive numbers.

Your ride looks real clean! The only thing I'd like to add to this is: sell the rice hood and get seibon CF hood or something.

Im actually running a MBC for temp cause my blitz was on the fritz and i had to send it in for warranty but it's reflashed at 25lbs, i think it's like 23lbs but my boost gauge will never be precise....

All this talk aboit rice hoods? well if you read it is a Seibon CF Hood...and alot of Evo's overseas have a aggressive look on their car and it came with it, my plans is to do a Voltex kit, where i think it would blend in better cause the kit is mean.....maybe do a widebody....but whatever i don't mind the hood....plus it cools the bay, and that turbo gets HOT

I heard a while ago that the vent is supposedly there to cool the exhaust mani, in particular, an aftermarket one. Not sure if that is accurate though.

BTW OP, I don't know if Ryan doubted your numbers. You must have gotten one of the rare, extra-strong builds!

I heard something similar after I got mine.

Where do you think all of DO's baseflashes came from ? We have seen one or 2 stock cam evos in the mid 350s so 362 doesnt surprise me. Tommy did 350 even and Eric did 357whp. Tommy was at 25-26psi and Eric was on a 28 or 29psi spike dropping to 21 out the top.

Wednesday car versus the monday morning or friday afternoon ones most of us got
