GET A POLICE REPORT ASAP!!

You may think that this guy that hit you has morals and accepted fault, but his insurance company won't be so nice. Maybe I've been just unlucky, but the one time I didn't get a police report, I got royally boned by the insurance company, they called it "both at fault." My insurance rates went up and I didn't get a cent. And what's worse, my insurance company sat there like a weak dog and didn't help me at all in fighting the other company. Needless to say I am no longer with the company... *Ahem... Allstate... Ahem*

I'm not sure if the law has changed, but parking lots are 'no fault' zones. this means that an officer won't cite person A, for hitting person B (thereby assigning fault, which is what determines which party pays), in a parking lot... as they have no law that determines who failed to yield in parking lots.

so... you should hope that this guy pays asap, because as far as I know: he's under no obligation to do anything more than split the damages.

good luck!

So far things are going well. I called my friend from SPD and he said it is late to make a report now. I got a recommendation from the insurance company and I looked into them and they looked really good. It just so happens that the shop I was recommened has a EvoM member working for them. I took the evo in and they said they will take care of the evo and that I should get the evo back next week.

As far as I know the person who is driving on the parking lot has the right of way. The person reversing does not. A friend of mine was in a similar situation (he was the one reversing) and he had to pay.

I just got off the phone with the other person's insurance company and they accept full responsibility and their adjuster is supposed to take a look on Thursday.

That would be nice. I'd like a FP Red in the future. I didn't know they made a FP black.

Yeah that works too, I heard someone talking about it at the meet, can't remember who, Daniel maybe. Suppose to be better, in the making though.

There is no such thing as an FP Black (just ask scumrat). However, I might sell my Red and hope that something else comes along! Here's the read, btw: FP black

Good to hear about the other person's insurance!

Tell em you're back hurts, but you'll settle out of court for 2,500....

I'm too nice to do stuff like that. It is tempting but I'll settle for things going smoothly.

^I think there is a lot left on the table. Besides, it is only about a $50 difference if you count the high-feed oil line included in the price of the black. For more whp and wtq (there are different %'s thrown around in that thread), $50 is a pretty sweet deal, IMO.
