I'd just like to take a moment and render a heartfelt thank you to all of those that have served and all of those that are still serving, and especially to those that have lost family/friends to the service. The entire world may question why it is that we (the US) are involved in one crisis or another. However, the fact remains that you men and women put your lives on the line and sacrifice yourselves and your loved ones, quite literally at times, for our freedom.

When I say "our" freedom I recognize this applies globally as we see the work and support that you folks provide across the world. Based on your examples I am proud to call myself an American, and extremely proud to have you all as my brothers and sisters in this, our extended family!

I'd be more than happy to buy ya'll a beer or a shot...just try not to hit me all at once! I realize saying that right before Fred's farewell may not be the best timing! Now I figure I'll get an m&m humping an ankle, but it had better have a flag in there as well!
