Gotta say I have never ever never seen stock cams do this before. SD is the way to go I think on all cars and especially Evos. I compared it to several other stock cam cars and cars that didnt have stock cams, and at this boost level if it had cams its about 400rpm shy of where it would be.

Conclusion- stock cams

Congratulations again on the power mang

Wow, I'm jealous. I have aftermarket cams and I don't even come close to what you got. Awesome numbers bro.

So are you typically tuning all evo's with speed density at this point? Is there a specific thread that talks about the benefits of SD (i.e. - why does it make more power, what is the difference between SD and standard tuning, what mods are necessary to run SD, etc.)??

Humm...care to elaborate some more. You make more power than just about every other stock IX turbo car here in WA but have stock cams and at less than 25psi. What boost control do you use? Care to post exact mods?

Not to doubt you but this isn't far off what a few people with BBK put out.

Those are insane #'s, and congrats again!! It must be all those VIII "mods" you have done on the interior! I wasn't making much more than that with bolt-ons, cams + meth! I was about 4psi higher and 30 more wtq or so. I had the cat on at that point and boost obviously didn't hold as well, nor did my tq.

Andrew does have some mods, but I can't remember what at this point as I forget what are plans vs what is installed. This is on the stock O2 as well, correct?

So which flash did you go with? Run 10 or 12?

Mods are:
ETS FMIC kit w/ piping
BR 3" down pipe
Custom mandrel bent 3" exhaust (no cat)
ER intake and Speed Density tune
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Blitz SBC i-D Spec-R boost controller (awesome unit)
Megan tubular exhaust manifold (temp use while I port stock unit)

He tuned it to 25psi, but I haven't completely dialed in the EBC, so it isn't quite running the correct boost. I'll try to have everything at 100%, so I can make the DO dyno day in a couple weeks to re-dyno.

These dyno runs are no bull****. Aaron was amazed that the car did it, and I was as well. I didn't expect to break out of the 350's.
