Need a painter around Olympia/Lacey area
It's been over a year since I had my JDM rear and it's just been sitting in the garage next to my Voltex rear diffuser =/
I wanna get it painted and put on in time for the XXX meet coming up in a couple weeks.
So I'm looking for a painter around the Olympia/Lacey area and seeing if anyone can recommend me a shop or someone they personally know who can paint it on the side lol. I've already called a handful of shops and they quoted me about 350-400 to paint it, seems kinda high to me.
Any help would be appreciated :>

If you were willing to come up to Seattle, I can refer you to the body shop who is painting my parts at this very moment. It should be less than the 350 and painted with PPG paint.

Oh alright, wasn't 100 percent sure on what the right price for painting was. I had someone who was going to paint it for me for 275 but then when the time came to do the job he wanted 400 so I told him I would find a new painter. I have a shop in mind which I may go with but I'm gonna wait and see if my UK rear fog light comes in first before I get the bumper painted, hopefully it comes in before the XXX meet lol
@NWEvo - good luck on that all happening! Euro rear fog would be cool, and definitely something I haven't seen in person. Seems like a lot of work for a little over 2 weeks, especially since some of the work would be done by someone else. I hope it all happens in time!
Have you tried Craigslist for painters? The biggest issue there obviously is getting the paint matched. I know hanahawaiian (Chris) works for a body shop in Taco. You might want to give him a call if that is close enough for you.

I haven't checked Craigslist, I prefer to go to shops or people who can vouch for another person. I actually talked to Chris about getting it painted last year, I think his painted went on vacation and some things came up for me so I had to set my lil project aside. I'll shoot him another PM and see what's up now. I'm also lazy so I try to keep the drive to the painter at about 10-15 minutes haha.
But hopefully I can get everything done by the meet!

I rather get the paint to match than to know that my rear bumper doesn't match my car paint and it would be a sore thumb that will stick with me even if no one else notices it but me.

I paid about 150 less for the JDM rear because I knew I was going to have to get it repainted. So I got the JDM rear in Pearl White (the cheaper color). I did a bit of searching on the differences between Weightless vs Wicked white and decided to get the bumper repainted from what I found. Some people might not mind the difference but I prefer to know that my paint is as close to matching my stock paint as it can (given how the age of the paint affects its color).
To sum it up, I paid 150 less for a JDM rear, knowing that I will have to pay more to get the bumper repainted.
Things would've been much easier for me if they already had JDM rears in Weightless White or if I had an Evo 9 instead of an 8 lol
