i just had a newer sti hatchback for snack.

i was cruising normally, and saw an 08'ish subaru sti about to do a ricer flyby. i tried to speed up from cruising around 60 but it was too late, he already "flew by". he was 3 cars ahead of me, once the traffic opened up, he started to accelerate so i stepped on it. i caught up to him and did my own ricer fly by on him. next thing i noticed, i was doing slightly over a buck fourty in MPH. :P

once we caught up on traffic light , he rolled down his window he asked...

sti - how long did you have the car?
me - since july last year...
sti - did you do quite a bit of work?
me - yah. just bolt ons.. you? it looks stock..
sti - i had stage 2 but had problems (then the light turns green). all right, have a good one!

that was awesome. the gf had fun too.

 

^ nice story! I got to drive my buddies '08 Sti, and i can now tell why so many STI owners switch to Evos... The clutch engagement was totally sloppy, and the shifter moves around like its not even in gear when it is..

they have a little bit of poop, but nothing impressive. I wouldnt be able to tolerate owning one. :P
