engine running weird

So i was driving today taking it easy and when i step on the gas i felt like i lost all power from the engine, and then when i am at idle it keeps dropping to like 500 and going back up to 1000 multiple times until it comes back up to regular idle. What do you guys think is wrong?

+1...check for IC pipes blown off at IC or the BOV...if they blew off at the IC then your car would barely want to move at all...if it blew off at the BOV you would still be able to drive it out of boost but wouldnt have any power in boost

Sounds like an intercooler hose blew off (most likely at the throttle body) or the maf is unplugged.

it could also be a plug pack besides the IC piping

nice glad you found the problem. I figured it way have been the IC piping. I've had my lower intercooler pipe blow off twice. Once on the dyno and one time on the road.

Isn't that so fun when that happens? T-bolt clamps fix that problem!

dont bother buying.

you will get nice t bolt clamps when you upgrade your intercooler pipings.

i had the same problem like you. at first, my licp blew while on the highway otw to work. i was soo scared and my gf too. i had it towed back to our place. then the second time, the uicp blew off from the throttle body. then it happed multiple times. i got so sick of it, i changed the t bolt clamp on the throttle body twice because i keep loosing them. then, the factory pos rubber became really worn with hairspray and tighten/blowing everyfreaking time.

i decided thats it. i went with a brand new ETS UICP that came with sweet clamps/couplers bought from another member. I also had ETS LICP sitting in my room that also has a sweet clamp/couplers. i never had another intercooling blowing off after the ETS upgrade.
