north end meet 5/5/10
Cinerama or IMAX is the only way to go. Its easy enough to grab food&drinks before the show at a local restaurant. Besides who wants to eat dinner at midnight.
I vote Indian food tonight. Then Ironman 2 sometime this weekend.

Oh sweet. The midnight showing wasn't listed when I checked during our conversations last week. I don't know about dinner and a movie, more like midnight snack and a movie at that point.
There is no way I'll be doing IronMan2 this weekend. It will be too crazy, which is why I like the midnight shows for the blockbusters. Plus, mother's day on Sunday pretty much kills most of the weekend.
I'd disagree about Cinerama and IMAX as the only way to go. Cinerama is dated (haven't been in awhile, though) and I prefer Lincoln Square or Alderwood theaters, or the Monroe theater (minus the hill folk). IMAX is okay but I've only ever been really happy with IMAX when watching a movie filmed for that screen type. I'm pretty sure IM2 was not.

Unfortunately I can only do one or the other. wapce killed a trip to her gma/gpa's last night and now has to go, probably tonight.
I could still go tonight but I'm leaning to tomorrow with or without ya'll!

Cinerama is awesome. We saw Avatar there and even sitting on the second level in row DD, it was a great experience.
I'm a fan of Cinnebarre also because of the 21+ all the time fact.

Been to the IMAX contless times. I basically get in for free. Movies that are filmed properly for IMAX are great. Other movies are fine, but don't really do it for me. Kind of like 3D movies where 3D was done as an afterthought (like Clash of the Titans). Not worth the extra money.
I've also been to Cinerama countless times: no less than 10 midnight showings. If they updated their seats then great. When I was there last their seats were absolute SHlT and in general it was getting old. That was probably about 2 years ago though.
Lincoln, Alderwood, and Stadium in Lynnwood are all top notch and newer. Stadium is older, but their layout is great and their big screen is big and curved. The theater in Monroe is all digital DLP and they also have rumble seats (though from what I have heard the movie has to support it, and I'm not sure if IM2 does).
*edit - Minh, did Cinerama still have the red velvety chairs? Did some of them recline too far? If not then I'm sure they rennovated since I've been there.

Well we probably need to make a decision sooner than later. There are still tickets available all over for midnight shows, but I am guessing some locations will sell out today or tomorrow.
I wouldn't mind seeing it at either place but my vote is for Cinerama tomorrow night.
This has happened multiple times by myself and friends. Maybe they just don't cater to the fatties!
My vote is for Cinerama as well! I'll make a thread cause I don't think peeps from the Souf side look in these threads.
