I've been using the Deka ETX 14 for just over a year now. No problems in daily use but if the car sits for over a week, it is slow to crank over. Check out this thread for details.

I run an Odyssey mini (PC680 I think?) and have been for a couple years. Unfortunately I've killed it a couple times so it cranks a little slow if sitting for a week. Much longer and it may be dead. If I were to buy another one I'd go with the one ETS has, but not sure who the OEM is.

ive been running the same battery ( it is the pc680 ) and it survived the winter with no problems. was able to leave my car at the office for 7 days, and it started right up after, not bad for 100$ shipped

That is a good point as I've seen mini batteries chillin' when I've been there. I'm not sure if they are already accounted for, but sounds like it would be worth asking.

deka battery is good but only if you drive the car daily I know someone runs that. mini battery in general are not reliable, you should look into Miata battery.

^If you don't run one yourself please stay out of the conversation. I've run the same mini battery since 2007 (October I think). The only time I had issues were when I forgot my lights were on while waiting for someone (was still able to crank it over, but barely), when my car had issues and sat at a shop last Nov/Dec when the temp was in the 20's, and when I went to Montana for 2 weeks during the winter while the car sat in my garage.

The weather in the PNW isn't harsh enough to worry about the battery. If you don't drive in the winter, or you get deployed often, etc. you might want to look into a trickle charger, or not go with a small battery.

I am right about the mini battery, and I've done enough research! I will not stay out of question watch who you talk to I know many friends run mini battery and they have issues when the car is not driven daily, you DID had problems too when your car was sit period of time, and I was referring to the same scenario too I am trying to tell "gotem23" if he/she wants to get mini battery better start it up everyday.

As stated a few times in this thread, people have run mini batteries with cars sitting more than a few days. My "issues" only came about when my car sat for more than 2 weeks in cold temperatures; colder than normal for the area. It does not get as cold here as it does in NJ, so again, stay out of the conversation that you don't have the context for.

If you do decide to stick your opinion into a thread you don't have the context for, please don't make ridiculous comments such as "...mini battery in general are not reliable..." There are plenty of people that have reliably run mini batteries for a long time.
