Just got pulled over earlier today having a modified exhaust, lowered car, and rear license plate cover. The officer was kind enough to let me go with a warning.

This is the third time I've been pulled for a modified exhaust since owning my evo.

I misplaced my stock axle back and am looking for inexpensive used one in fairly good condition.

Hope I can find one soon

 

are you serious? I have a greddy Ti and have never gotten pulled over for the exhaust....i also have no front plate.

i have a stock exhuast if your looking for one.

 

I thought that if your stock exhaust was "broken" then you can replace it with a different exhaust just as long as the new exhaust doesn't violate any sound laws.

Pretty much anything that's louder than stock is considered illegal. The officer found my Tanabe Medallion to be wayyy louder than stock. So pretty much any after market exhaust will be considered illegal lol

 

^right, cause he knows what stock sounds like. I tried to convince an officer my Buschur exhaust was stock. He said "this is not the stock exhaust for a Subaru." A lot of officers up here don't have a clue, they just don't like it loud, even though the Harley that *BRAPs* down the road, or the turbo diesel pickup with the twin stacks (that are obviously not stock) makes way more noise.

If it were California, that would be a different story. They know their rice parts!

I have one that I bought because I was going to modify it, but I never even opened the box. Make me an offer!

 

I even bought the Tanabe because it had more of a "stock" look to it but guess that didn't work. Maybe I'll look into getting a Works Stealth axle back and intermediate pipe combo.
