Transmission woes

Well about 3 weeks ago, mrfred and I were out street tuning my car. During the process he noticed a fairly strong vibration above 6k.
well of friday i had some spare time so i deceided to get the car up in the air and rev it up to see what i heard.
Unfortunatally after revving it up, it appears the sound is comming from the far end of the transmission near the reverse idler gear. Once you push the clutch in the rattle went away.
so now the evo is going down for a bit .
Gonna send the trans to shep for a rebuild, and thinking of getting some coatings done to the syncros. Figure if im there i may as well do a clutch.

So any reccomendations on a good clutch for around 400hp. would prefer to stick to a single disk. nothing too special with decent life.

just figured I would share how my long weekend went.

Rob

I'm on an ACT HDG6. it was installed on 8/2009. If you go that route just make sure to adjust your clutch pedal. They have been complaints about high rpm lockout but I bet they didn't adjust their clutch pedal.
