I want...
I want:
An All Wheel Drive chassis
A suspension that will (mostly) gracefully handle and recover from my clumsy attempts at driving off the road.
Brakes that can haul the car down from 160+ speeds in short order.
More than 700 horsepower 600tq on tap to chastise any so called supercar owners that may feel froggy. (crank #s like all the manufacturers like to advertise) (624hp/515tq wheel)
Lots of torque down low to make driving the car a pleasure in traffic.
Simple enough to manage all maintenance tasks myself.
Reliable enough to drive 200 miles to a car meet, thrash on the car all day, and drive 200 miles back home.
Something that I can realistically afford.
A car that I can daily drive.
Oh, thats right -> I already own one:

Exactly!
Ever since I saw the Evo vs Lamborghini episode of Top gear where Jeremy Clarkson pushed that Lambo driver into a mistake and subsequent spin.
Evo vs Lamborghini
yup - thats the car I want
A/C, 4 doors and a trunk are just icing on the cake!

Yeah, both scenarios are a bit far fetched!I think the point is that the car is capable of hanging with the top dawgs at a price us poor folks can afford!
John-
what are the cons on the evo that he pointed out?
- turning radius like jupiter --> who cares? you only notice it when doing a U-T
- crappy interior --> shell out a few hundred to get a better deck, or even a two din and some gauges, your set!
- turbo lag --> thats easy, power mods+ER tune ftmfw!!!
on a side note, i like it when he refers to it as a "four door saloon"

Also, my car seems to do U turns just fine... and hell, if you need a tighter turning radius, there's always the 5k clutch drop half way through the turn

Interior wise, you really can't easily fix the real problems, i.e. rattles, cheap switches etc. But you gotta take into consideration that the Evo is a rally converted commuter car, not a top dollar, hand built super car (and if it's British, quality is questionable lol). As for stereo, you are quite right, Josel. All I did was replace my deck with a high end single din, and add a 12" sub. Boom, awesome sound.
