Install times? Help. :)

Just wondering how long an install for a Head Gasket and Cam Gears (yes, just gears) should take? I'm not going to attempt to do it myself, just screwed my car up when I tried to do somethings and had to pay to have it fixed so I'm not trying it again for awhile.

Getting both the New Head Gasket in and the Cam gears at the same time. How many hours of labor should that take a skilled evo mechanic? Just wanting to know how much $$$ in labor I should expect to throw down.

I'd guess somewhere between 500-1000 dollars in labor. That's what family and friends have been quoted on various other cars.

oh really? That's a bit more than I thought. How many hours would that be, for each and together? I may wait on the head gasket.

All Data Pro says 3.2hrs for the cam gears and 8.8hrs for the head gasket...my guess would be that whatever shop you take it to would be willing to charge the 8.8hrs for the head gasket and then throw the gears on for basically no cost since the head is going to be off the car anyways.

Cool, thanks man. That's about how long the shop told me it would take. We will see if they want to charge me for the cams gears. Hopefully not.
