I was coming home from the store and as the lanes merged i was being a jack azz and rodded on it to be in front, while im looking in the rear view to make sure ( like i needed too :P) that no cars were doing it to beat me out and i fly right past a cop. I looked over as i flew by and crapped myself. He was given me the biggest WTF look u ever saw. He flipped around and pulled me over. came and said " what was that all about?". I said, "im a dumb azz and was trying to stay ahead of traffic before it merged". " I have no excuse sir, it was stupid of me". He get my info and comes back in like 1 min. Says, " im not going to ticket you, but you get my street racing speach". He goes on to say, its obvious this is a race car. Its bright red and loud as heck. Its dangerous to do that kind of stuff, and yada yada, I see the cage, helmet and other stuff in there for racing. Keep it at the track and have a nice day. Carma ( sp ) has finally come around and shown me some luv. The worst part is, i never drive this car except to and from the track and English Racing. Just thought id share my rare moument of good luck.

Ironically the racing equipment probably saved you. He probably noticed you actually have proper safety equipment and know you race the car. Tends to help out sometimes.

 

dont worry... a cop pulled me over yesterday and asked why my car sounds like a boat... lol he let me go thank god... i would of gotten pissed if i got a ticket..

 

That's some luck. I get to deal with a lot of "72 in a 65? Ticket!"
Mostly, I just get pulled over because the cops don't see a licence plate smack dab in the middle of the front bumper (stock located to the side).

 

Lucky! Sorry to ear about the mis hap. I got pulled over the weekend...because the cop said he couldnt see my temporaries...I was thinking he just wanted to see me car. LOL.

Oddly enough, I haven't gotten pulled over once in my WW, and only once in the RR, for doing 70 in a 50 on 101 at 2am. Go figure.

 

Lol... i told him, "I think i have a exhaust leak."(which it doesnt)... His reponse, "You sure it isnt that huge muffler on your car." And i just looked down and was like ****.. btw it doesnt sound like a boat.. he was just trying to be a funny cause he was a young cop...

 

I got pulled once in my 350Z just so the State Pooper could look at my car. He acctually said he just wanted to see it because he liked it. I was late to work that day because of him!

 

did you get you on a speed trap radar? if not, he had no proof of you speeding, hence no speeding ticket.

Valentine One has saved me thousands of dollars. Surprizingly I have been driving slower around town with my external downpipe, I have a feeling if a cop hears that he is going to $#!+ a brick and then give me a ticket.

 

I always feel violated after an encounter with a LEO. It's an infraction of the law, and they treat you like a its a felony. I pulled into a sports bar, cops love this place b/c they get 50% off then they eat there. So I see a nice parking space to a very nice Lexus LS460 but wait to Florida State Troopers talking. So I hesitate then the male trooper flags me in so I pull in turn the car off. He says to me, "I should do a decibel test." I told him what do you expect from 600 hp. He says to me "your excused." I was like whatever bro and walked away.
