Papa (and momma) got a new toy!

Hi all,

Well the wifey and I have had our Evo IX for over a year and a half and our '06 350Z for over 2 years (you can guess who drives what most of the time). I recently returned from deployment earlier in October and as planned, we payed off our Z to eliminate car payments (which is sweet for owning two '06s BTW). However, my wife mentioned to me that she didnt feel comfortable driving the Z anymore. She always wanted one, but as time passed and as she got more comfortable driving a manual trans car, she didnt like how the clutch engaged on it compared to the Evo. She didnt like the heavy doors, nor the "heavy feeling" car period (she's only 4'11"). I myself have LIKED Z's, but have not been a huge fan by any means (wouldn't mind a 370Z though). Our Z is a base model so it has no sunroof or C/C (not sure if you can even get 350Z's with C/C), less than comfortable cloth stock seats, cheesy interior (with rubbed off finish on the door panel), etc...

Anywho, I mentioned that we should trade in and she agreed. When we began looking, we were leaning towards no car payment. But as we checked KBB on the Z ('06, base, 44k miles, 6spd), we came to find out the value was a less than modest $13.5K for "good condition" trade in. That limited us quite a bit, so we agreed $20K price tag w/trade in was do-able. Among mentioned and agreed upon were:

- SECOND EVO ("his and hers" Evo's would be cool)

- '06-'07 STI (I admit, I like em' and thought it'd be cool to have the best of both worlds)

- Honda S2000 (natural Honda roots and instincts, plus Ive always liked them)

- Nissan 370Z (even though slightly out of the price range)

Anyways, to cut an already too long of story short, we found our trade and signed the paperwork this past Saturday on our new baby.

And just so she doesnt feel left out (even though they're horrible pics):

Oh no no no, they share it. Whatever the wife drives in the morning is what goes in the garage that night.

Yeah, weather has been wet lately. Dont plan on having them on too long since winter is almost here. Was gonna wait but I couldnt resist. And yeah, I agree. Ive got a 40-50 mile commute to work one way each day and that adds up quick. Nice to have two low milage cars to distribute it a bit. Are you in WA as well?

If I was shorter I would most definately have a s2k. My height = no bueno. Thought of welding different seat brackets in but dont think that would even help. Such a nice looking car.

I have a cousin that always garaged her S2K. The one night that she decided to park outside, theives cut through her soft top and stole her seats.

^^^^ that's a bad impression for him. But a good reminder. I think you better watch out bro. I stay away from owning a honda here in Orlando.
