Clunking noise on the front right hand strut

Is there any of you guys experiencing this clunking noise problem esp on the front struts? This noise bother me every time I'm driving my car. Mostly coming from the right hand front strut/spring. I did my research on this and things to check are: cv axle boot, axle, struts, center strut bolt, front tie rod and wheels bearing, end link, springs. I'm not really sure what causing it but i am going to try to find out today. If there's any of you having the same issue on your car, i appreciate your comment or shop recommendation to take it to get it fix.

Lots of people with the same problem (myself included) and all the places to check you mention are ok, but I will take a wild guess and say it's only your strut top mounts ( towers ).
Have you ever taken your suspension apart? are you running with aftermarket springs? what's the mileage on suspension? let us know all those details.
If you decide to replace the towers, do both at the same time, and try to get the RALLIART group-n ones ( part # RA403281K1 ) instead of oem.

My car is lowered on swift spec r springs and it has 34k. I'm assuming is the top mount or maybe the axle. I looked at the springs on both front side and no rubbing evidence on the top.

Does it happen when you hit bumps, or does it happen when you are going slow in a straight line? IE can you tell if it has to do with wheel rotation, or just bumps?

^^^ This happen when the road is uneven and going on straight line yes. Sounds like more the struts but maybe the spring also not sitting right on the top mount and i looked at it this morning and i didn't see any sign of rubbing at the top mount. The axle is pretty new from driveshaftshop.com thanks for all the comment. i really appreciate it.

My coils feel as good or better than the Swift Spec R's and Bilsteins did on my car

i have BC Racing RAM Type and they come with no top rubber mounts and im making clunking noises too! your described event sounds somewhat like mine and i just got my coilovers installed. How long can you go without the rubber mounts? for the RM type series don't come with them.

who did the install of the springs? perhaps the struts aren't aligned, there's a hole at the base of the perch and another at the top, those need to be aligned prior to installing the strut on the car. If is not that, then I am pretty sure it's your towers. Also check to see if the strut is blown ( oil on the outside ).

Mine does every once in awhile when I pull out of a parking spot. When I turn the wheels full lock and reverse out then come to a complete stop and straighten the wheels, I get a popping noise. Its the spring binding up when I turn the wheels so when I quit being lazy I'll jack it back up and make sure its seated in the perch properly... if that don't work I'll probably throw something at it. Ha!

How loud is it? Mine has been doing it for some time now, mostly over little speed bumps, but its not that loud. The dealer checked it a few months ago and said everything was good. I have Tein S-tech springs. I need to check again though.

If those upper mounts are loose, then it really slams around up there (I forgot to tighten the bolts once on my old car)...

Loud enough to hear. It's only happening when i'm driving slow and uneven road. Sounds like when your compressing the spring. Sounds like something binding on the spring. Or like putting to much load on the spring.
