I chose the ditch, (this was the first off road adventure for my car and it did well) the down side to the was this...

The front bumper was fiber glass so that explains why it came off easily. Other then the bumper missing there is no damage to my car (I was going slow). So now I need a new bumper! I'm searching the forum for a used one because i'm sure I'll do this again (I dont learn that well from my mistakes, LOL).
I feel your pain, brotha.

Got my owned-by-snow/ice badge today driving back into my neighborhood from picking my fiance up for lunch from work (less than a mile away). I was taking a right turn into my neighborhood (very slow in first gear). I must have taken the turn too shallow and immediately lost traction sliding to the left halfway into the turn. Tried tap braking only after a tad bit of gas, neither worked and I ended up biting the curb. Damage was much minimal than yours though, it ripped my c/f Ralliart style lip clean off (luckily) and curbed one of the lips of my Volk CE28N's (now two I need lip paint repair). But as your post obviously states, it could have been alot worse. It was just a good thing I was driving at crawling speed or it could have been ALOT worse.

Already ordered another lip (which will go on in the spring, lesson learned). As for the Volks, Im taking my chances (AGAIN) and leaving them on. I really want to leave them on for the Toy Drive and then get them repaired before storing them for the winter.

From the pics it looks like my IC might be tweeked as well but I have not gotten under there and really looked at it because it to DAMN cold out there to be laying in the snow! lol
I plan on doing a full spool run up on her as soon as the weather clears and the roads are good again. As for the bumper, I am curently looking for one. I dont know what kind I am going to get but i'm checking the market place for one. Maybe I'll get another C West from someone trying to sell thiers or just a stocker with a lip. I really want to try a X bumper on an VIII just to see if I can make it work. Anyone good with PhotoShop want to try it, before I do in real life?

I had a bit of a mishap just 2 blocks from home. Went in for a left turn a little too fast, lost all traction, and drove up someones front lawn a good 3 feet. Tore my front splitter in half.

Riding on stock Advans right now, probably won't go out again!

can definitely vouch for blizzak prowess! I just wish that people would get out of the way and let me get away from them as they drive like tards.

I just ordered a set of Continental Extreme Winter Contacts. Snow some more, bring it on!

Sorry to all those with mishaps. At least they are all minor and no one got hurt.

I was right in the middle of it man, nervous as hell that someone was gonna slide into my Evo. I guess they hooked more than 50 cars to the tow yard Monday night and then plowed the hill that night. Wonderful planning by the city. Freaking idiots........
