Wheel question...
Never bought a set of rims for any car I have owned before.
Really looking to buy some that are black and not having any luck on craigslist/local forums so i thought id check out ebay...
I like a few of em on there
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17x7-...Q5fAccessories
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-1...Q5fAccessories
But I am confused about all this 4x100 and 5x100 and offset business.
What exactly do I need to know when buying some wheels, what specs will fit the stock evo?
If anyone is bored and wants to explain please do,
otherwise.. flame away!

Yes, the lug pattern is 5x114.3, but offset matters, quite a bit. Stock offset is ~35-38 (forgot which) on an 8" wide wheel.
The best fitting wider wheels, like a 9.5", use an offset of 30-38. Ideal is about 35.
You can go more aggressive, but you start to limit the rubber you can fit without minor to serious body modifications, for instance, I have an 18x9.5 wheel in +22 offset. I have to use a 5mm spacer on the front, or the wheel hits the brake caliper, and this offset sticks the wheel out of the well a decent amount, so it limits the width of the rubber I use. They came with 245/40's, and they rubbed like a ***** without some serious camber, even after I rolled my fenders.
My advice, if you want to use the car for what it is instead of a show car, go with something in 18x9.5 +35. Those will allow you to fit 265's on there pretty easily (still may need to roll fenders).
Just me though.
Also, for a direct visual comparison of one wheel to another, use this. It's a great program, and it tells you everything you need to know, measurement wise.

Sounds like Rotas would fit your needs in price and color. Evo bolt pattern is 5x114 (5x114.3). Depending on wheel manufacturer and design, the wheels may or may not clear the Brembos. I recommend something in the lines of 18x9 +30 offset. The wheels will sit flush and the wheels will most likely clear the Brembos.
Just FYI, stock Evo 8/9 wheels are 17x8 +38.

Your best bet is to find a set used, not very many rims are available new at 500-600. Look to stick with 17" as the tires are cheaper. Why not just get a set of MR BBS's and do them black?
Buy these and paint/powdercoat black. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/pts/2078881323.html Offer them $575-600.

Figured those would make my car rub.
