Not everyone buys an evo to set it up for rally, road race or quarter mile. This is a daily driver and that's what it's used for. This is exactly why I don't drive my drift car everyday because its setup for drifting, red evo is gonna be a track car that's why its setup for it and is on 275/35/18 hoosier slicks but im sure if I drove around on slicks id be cool to 90% of the ppl on this forum. It'd be one thing if I didn't have hundreds of people telling me how good this car looks, to each of his own but don't try to convince me there's only one way to mod an evo.

You got your own style man, it's cool and unique to an Evo. I guess you see a lot more of that in other imports. Other than that, it's pure molestation and just butt ugly seeing this on an Evo. But that's my opinion so don't get offended. Congrats on your coverage.

It's amazing; everyone with a setup like this says exactly the same thing, as if bastardizing a machine on the very basis of its existence somehow points to a workable rationale. The daily driver argument would be fine, if the car could actually navigate road anomalies, speed bumps, rail road crossings, etc - the kind of stuff one encounters on a daily drive - with any degree of commonly accepted proficiency. Please don't get me wrong; do what you like for all I care. It's just that the rationale, itself, doesn't make a whole lot of automotive sense. Best of luck to you.

Everyone take notes here because FJF is the only person who knows how an evo should be setup and where your car is able to be drivin. If anything you said made any sense at all then why not leave the car stock off the lot since it was designed and built to factory specifications to preform in a way mitsubishi built it for. I navigate this thing anywhere I need to go so keep trying to speak from expirence with the car I drive everyday. If I wanna jump this thing like im Vin Diesel over some train tracks I will so dont worry about if I can or not.

Since you mention it and as a matter of personal disclosure, my car is almost stock and it sits on the factory Bilstein setup, naturally, at stock height. There's a difference between being fast and looking fast. As for the rest, I'm really not sure what to say.

Not much for it either. I don't even care for it on the euro crap where this trend usually hangs out, but, to each their own. I'm definitely never going to understand the function (or how it ever could "look cool") to over stretch the hell out of your tires.

But what I really don't understand about any of this post... why are you defending and arguing about the functionality of your cars when you have 500 hp and useless suspension, but a race setup on your stock one.

Legitimate question, I don't mean to offend as I'm sure you're already super touchy with all the constructive criticisms you've gotten. Congrats on the coverage, you should definitely hit the P Townsend cruise.

I really hate the hellaflush look so naturally your car isn't really my cup of tea.

However, I do really like how clean it is and give you kudos for keeping the stock spoiler!
Also congrats on all the features, that has to be pretty rewarding to see our work paying off!

Honestly tho it does look good. And I think he knows it only looks good and doesn't drive good.

Well for one thing none of the comments I responded to weren't constructive criticism, people are just being rude saying its "ugly" "pointless" ect.. Im not claiming this car is better than anyone's. I simply posted my feature to share with the locals and now I have all these people in a local forum I don't know making assumptions about my build and driveability. Two, the reason im defending myself is because people keep making assumptions, red car isn't stock at all, black car isn't by far, my drift car iis not stock and either is my S4. It's annoying people treat me like im putting wheels and suspension on a stock evo. I honestly think half you guys would rather see huge wings, stickers, body kits and fart cans then some nice expensive wheels and an overall clean setup, stretched tires or not. Still don't understand how the suspension is useless when im only using it to get from point A to point B. Heck during the summer I might even spend a few minutes raising it some to put the set of brand new wheels and tires I have sitting in the garage for it with 265/35/18 hankook RS-3's and run it down the track. To some of the people that did not care for the look but let me know in a respectful manor I thank you for that.

If you're saying it just looks fast your right because it IS fast.

I must have read it backwards when you said you were taking the turbo kit off the red one and leaving it mostly stock.

The constructive thing was a joke howdy, must have went over your head, cause ya cah's so lowwwwww, wooooaaaah.

Throw it up to Jesus.
