Thanks again English Racing!

Thanks again to all the folks down at English Racing. They were all very knowledgable and hospitable and helped me understand my car a lot better.

Got a SD tune/clutch/few parts install at English Racing on Thursday and Friday of last week. Just in time for the newbie training day at the local AutoX and the subsequent first event of the season.

I had the fastest launch on the newbie training day and got first place in the novice mens class! I would say that is a great way to start the year.

On to the pictures:

I had a throttle body return issue with the ported BR throttle body. I sanded it down where I thought it might be catching and that made it better. With a little wear from driving it, it has gone away completely. However, my idle is either at 1350 rpm now or it bounces from 1000-1500 rpm. I might have sanded it down a bit much or the larger injectors are making it hard for the ECU to track idle. Either way, it is not any real issue for me.

The new clutch was a realy doozy to get used to (new version of Competition Twin Disk). I stalled the car about a dozen times in the first 24 hours of driving it. Half of those were within a mile from ER's dyno. Sitting in traffic in Tacoma got me lots of practice, overall I was driving for ~5 hours after I left the shop. It chatters and barks and everyone at the AutoX was asking me what the hell was wrong with my car . But, the clutch feels soooooo much better than the stock one I had in it. Shifts are solid (no slipping or bouncing) and I absolutely love it.

Congrats on the numbers.

How much did you pay for the Competition twin disk and where'd you pick it up from?

The AutoX was at the Port of Bellingham in the old paper mill parking lot.

Nope! I work down at one of the refineries in Anacortes and live up near Bellis Fair Mall.

Nathan, happy to be of service. On the idle issue it might just be the BISS needs adjusted either in to drop the idle or its too far in (doubtful) now that the throttle hang has been cured. I am sure someone local can help take a look or I can walk you through it via email.

thanks again

Aaron
