John REALLY does not like his setup of coilovers exposed. Normally he asks the owner how the car is going to be used, and a track or street percentage is figured. From that he gives a ride height and adjusts what he can on the valves.
To find out whats the set up on the shocks you might talk to John, he might have a record of the setup if he can determine the original owner.

A lot of experience (and expense)went into adjusting the shocks, I'd not touch them for fear of loosing whats there.

FWIT I had a set of coilovers from him some time ago, it was a substantial improvement over stock... even just as far as stock highway driving. But I know nothing about these coilovers.
