Ladies Autocross July 30

Join me at Bremerton Motorsport Park for the Bremerton Sports Car Club Ladies Autocross on July 30. Guys - we need you too so keep reading.

BSCC is proud to bring you another Ladies Day Autocross on July 30.

http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...03B3BECEA08A13

Help us plan a great event by pre-registering

Cost is $25 per session or $40 all day, cash or check onsite payment. If you are not yet a BSCC member bring an additional $25 for membership dues fees. All drivers need to be BSCC member.

This year we are hoping for better weather and even more fun.

This is the perfect chance to try out autocross in a low-pressure, high-fun environment. Female instructors will be on hand all day to guide and teach you the ins and outs of autocross for first-timers. This particular event is not a competition, just a fun time in your car. Not only will you get better on the track with each run, you will also increase your skills for daily driving on the street and become a better, safer driver for it. This is a great filler event from a car control clinic to a high performance driving day too.

No longer a novice? Well don’t worry; we will be getting a ton of track time in while the guys work the course.

Guys, we need you too!! We will need you to work course, help with set-up, timing and grid so we can get lots of practice. In return you’ll get free runs at lunch and the end of the day. Talk to your girlfriend, wife, sister, daughter, mother, grandma, and encourage them to try it out. You may even want to loan them your car so they can see what this is all about.

All payment will be accepted onsite only. Please bring cash or check.

Event format:

Gates open: 7:00 am

Registration: 7:30-8:30 morning registration, 11:30 – 12:30 afternoon registration.

Onsite Tech: 7:45 – 845 and 1145 – 12 45

Guided course walks and ground school: 8:45 and 12:45

Drivers Meeting and Q&A: 9:00am and 1:00 pm

Driving: 9:15 – 12:15 and 1:15 – 4:30 pm

Volunteer Fun Runs: Lunch and 4:30 pm

The event will be set up as a practice day with a regular style course set-up. We will have experienced drivers on hand for you to ride along with or to ride along with you to give you some tips. The great news is we don’t have to do a work assignment. A bunch of guys have volunteered to work course all day and run the event so all we have to do is show up and drive! We will have an open style grid with a dual driver lane and two single driver lanes, you are welcome to move your car in and out of grid if you need a break or to adjust something on your car or want to drive someone else’s car, or have to run and get more gas.

Thumbs down Membership?

So the real cost of the school is $ 50.00 for one session or $65.00 for the day if you are not a Bremerton Sports Car Club member.

When these events were put on in the past (yes I know I'm really dating myself) membership was not required. Non members paid a higher event entry. This was to encourage folks to become members. I see times have changed.

You can thank the IRS for that, unfortunately we now have to have all our income come from members, or force losing our club status with them.

Still less than half the cost of joining SCCA whose membership is mandatory as well, just sent $110 for the wife and myself for this year.

So if you would like to volunteer, guy or gal, and get up to an hour and half of FREE FUN RUNS please contact me via email. I will be organizing all of our volunteers for the Ladie's day. Essentially we need people to man the course and reset cones through out the day, in return for each half you work you will get 45 mins of fun runs, with timing going on a ~60 second autocross course. Only volunteers will be allowed to run during fun runs, so you are guaranteed lots of seat time.

Do you need to be a member to volunteer, No because we wont be receiving income from you for that day.

Does your fun run car have to pass tech. Yes just like a standard autocross event.

Will you have to work all day. No the day is broken down into A.M. and P.M. sessions. Each half you work will get you 45 mins of FREE FUN RUNS. Would love to have you volunteering all day, but we also understand you have other things to do.

Yes we have loaner helmets.

If this sounds like something you would like to help out with, please email me at turbofbcrew@msn.com, with ladies day in the subject line.

Thanks in Advance
Chris

Most gals start out really slow, like 90 seconds, and typically by the end of the day they are well down into the 60 second range. IMHO they don't jump into the deep end "head first", like most guys do. They stick their toe in, and before you know it they are waist deep, then all of sudden you are talking about star specs and coil overs. lol

A gal won nationals a couple years ago 8 months pregnant.
Autocross is a great place to learn to drive a manual transmission. I know 3 folks who have learned there. It's only one shift

The cost for a full day is $40 for current members.
$65 for non-members.
