My New Evo VIII GSR

As some of you know, I've been hunting vigorously for a pair of Evos to take the place of the vehicles I recently sold. I really have been searching high and low and even had a couple of deals fall out at the last minute. At about the time my last deal fell through, I just so happened to have found a beautiful red Evo VIII up the I-5 corridor from me in Oak Harbor.

It had pretty low mileage (35k) and the previous owner, Jose, had great taste in upgrades. Essentially everything I was budgeting to do when buying my VIII had been done already to this vehicle...LOL. Anyway, on to the good stuff...

Here is a video Jose made for a previous buyer (his loss is my gain). I feel it does a great job explaining what sets this car apart from the average Evo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa4VL4Aa2vI

And some pictures...

Having driven it home, I must say this car already may rank as my all-time favorite owned vehicle. As you can see under my name, I've owned some good ones too...big thanks to Jose for making it such a smooth buying experience

I will leave that between Jose and me but I think it is safe to say we are both happy with the transaction

Chop the nose, and the exterior will be finished. Good buy, only thing I found odd was the 280 cams with what I'm assuming is stock turbo (seeing as IC is still stock).

Ah man, I love the nose

Jose was nice enough to throw in the stock cams so I can always revert back if desired. Yes, still stock clutch, turbo, and intercooler...

I had 280 Cams on my evo untill recently and made 449WHP 430WTQ on stock turbo, they are good.

I think what Andrew is saying is odd that the car has a lot of stock items still on it, but the cams were 280's. Not typically one of the first things people upgrade.

Nope, not me...

Gave it a bath and a couple Zaino treatments over the weekend...the STi photo was before the Zaino. I felt kind of bad, no sooner did we park there than the STi owner felt the need to leave in a hurry...LOL.
