New Job...Kind Of

So today I officially quit my job at Seaview GMC/Buick and am now a Technician at Lee Johnson Chevrolet/Mazda where I started out my Technician career a little over 5yrs ago...So if anyone is in need of GM or Mazda Parts/Service/Service Information let me know cuz I can now get you somewhat of a discounted price unlike when I worked for the cheap bast*rds at Seaview! Haha and just some advice don't ever take your car to Seaview! Lol

Hmm, I may need to take my Trailblazer SS to you. I have had a miss at idle since I bought it. I have yet to be able to find the cause and even went as far as to take it to a dealer in Issaquah, who was unable to find the cause.

Hey Thanks Justin! Yea Seaview was really a joke the whole time I worked there...Honestly probably the most unprofessional dealership that I know...So many issues it would take days to list them ...I was begging them to let me go flat-rate because I was making them so many hours but they wouldnt let me...Then it got to the point where I was getting bit*hed at because I was finishing jobs to quickly? wtf? I'm glad to be out of there!

Yea man what all did the dealer in Issaquah do? Do you have any P0300-308 codes or can you just feel it at idle? Is there any noise with the misfire? I know there are actually a couple bulletins out for misfire issues with that engine referring to valve train issues.

good to hear, Tim. Sounds like Seaview is terrible. I took my truck to Lee Johnson a while ago (98 S10) and didn't care for the service. I think a lot of that was the service manager as he had that old school approach, which can unfortunately sound like he is feeding a line of BS. Also, some of the "issues" they brought up about my truck were lies.

I do currently have some sort of tick, and a code (need to get it pulled still). I'll probably give Lee Johnson a 2nd chance now that I have someone to complain to!

Yea man Seaview is seriously a joke! The problem is really with the service writers and the dispatcher...A LOT of inexperience/whining and no patience/orgaization (I can't tell you how many times those idiots lost keys for customer cars and had to spend half the day just trying to find them) ...For the most part "Most" of the techs at Seaview are actually decent techs with a few exceptions...The transmission tech is one of the best I have seen when it comes to transmissions.

As far as your issues with Lee Johnson I actually totally agree! The new service manager was actually the reason I left the first time. Even this time when I went in for my interview I was fed a line of BS...But after talking with the techs that are still there from when I last worked there I made up my mind to head back mainly because of the horrible Seaview situation and Lee Johnson is such a higher quality dealership.

If you end up bringing your S10 in to Lee Jays again let me know. I also do side jobs on the weekends sometimes if you want to go that route. Just let me know.

I'll probably hit you up, Tim. IIRC, the service manager dude was named Scott, but that was a while ago, and not sure if that was his name.

Hey man yea just let me know...Saturdays usually work best for me for side jobs but I can do Sundays too after I'm done watching the NASCAR race of course haha...And yea Scott is still there but he's now been "promoted" to Kia Service Manager (sounds like more of a demotion to me)...That guy would sit 2 feet away from the customers and scream at their faces when he was talking to them normally about their car...He seems to think he can intimidate people with his "size/width" and loud mouth I'm glad I don't have to deal with him anymore!

Yea Ben I can prolly get you a discounted price on a cluster now but I'm not positive on how cost effective it would be seeing how I would have to send it to you plus you would still have to have it programmed but I think I might possibly know a way where I would be able to pre-program it with your VIN and mileage info

cool, man. I just got paid, but we have a lot of things going on atm (bro-in-law getting married in MT, trip to Reno, bro coming up from CA, etc.). Gotta figure that all out before I get moving on the truck.

BTW, that sounds exactly like the Scott I worked with. Good to know it wasn't just me, I suppose!
