well, just letting you know my car caught fire about one hour ago and is a total loss. You can't begin to understand the pain i feel inside having lost my pride and joy.

I dont know if I will have anything for sale as of yet but right now i have the white faced gauges and a s2000 antenae both were undamaged and work just fine. make an offer as i have a feeling i'm bout to get screwed on insurance, and dont have any money to put down on a new car.

 

What happened? What caused the fire?

well i have no idea how it started. It did however start in or near the battery. The car is a complete loss as the entire front end was fully engulfed in flames. It had been sitting for about an hour and a half out in the snow when my neighbor came over and told me my car was on fire. i unloaded two extinguishers into the engine compartment (thank you being a fire fighter in a previous job) then i turned the garden hose on it but it was way too late at that point.

I do thankfully have GAP insurance, however, its frustrating that now i

A: dont have a car
B: have to use the money for Gabi and my's new apt. for a down payment on something else
C: STILL DONT HAVE A ***CING CAR

The antenae is sold by the way but i still have those ES gauges.

The other really frustrating part is the hassle about to happen with the insurance company. I also know in my heart that this was not sue to ANYTHING I did under teh hood as i only had an intake and a strut bar. I have a really sneaky feeling this was a manufacturer defect and I also know Mitsubishi wont do a God damn thaing about it.

I guess the bright side to all of this is that i can seriously look at a Ralliart now but am kinda wary about another Lancer at this point.

As far as funeral services go, I am still grieving, so someone else can take the point on this one.

Hey hey hey just letting ya'll know barring a catastrophe Gabi and I are 99% sure it's going to be a Thunder Grey 2004 Lancer Ralliart with the Sun and Sound package. It looks great, my *** feels wonderful in those Ralliart buckets and i can do anything I want behind those tinted windows!

Hopefully When i come down to Portland on the 16th 17th and 18th. I'll be able to show off the new wheels.

Speaking of wheels, is Hyper Rev still doing the deal on ADR's for TLNW members? I want to get some 16" black or gunmetal somethings but dont want to pay through the nose.
