Boost leak test?

Does anyone know of a place in seattle or north that can do a boost leak test (up to 30lbs) for a decent price? Or if anyone has any ideas of what my problem might be let me know.

Problem: I was tuned for 28 lbs of boost and for the last month or so the car will not boost over 21 lbs, iv'e tried a new boost gauge and a new boost controller. Thanks all

You can build your own pretty easily. I cant google it right not but if you search for a home made boost leak tester it should come up with a decent build. About the only big thing you would need would be a compressor capable of 30 PSI. Costs less than 25 bucks or so to make.

Like we were just talking about, Tyler. Might be the wastegate.

I finally got my computer to stop being an a$$ and let me onto MAP's site (F U Pandora: )

^ i told Tyler that i think it was his wastegate too... but he is convincing me that the mbc is before the wastegate and supposed to let it open at around 30 PSI...

We troubleshooted 2 separate Perrin MBC with the same result

I made one once Tyler (not sure where I put it during a move). I should be able to make another. IIRC the hardest part was to find the PVC and coupler that was a good enough size to mount onto the turbo'd system.

If two separate boost controllers end with the same result, I'd check wastegate too. If there are no severe leaks and the wastegate appears to be ok, I'd bet it's a dying turbo. 30 psi is way out of it's efficiency range.

http://www.siliconeintakes.com/index...32d24b2fe90ac7 Might be easier then trying to find the parts. At least IMO

^That's a neat site! Tho that's not the OP's issue.

Tyler, call Andrew and see if he'll trade you (with some cash on top) for his ported stock mani. I saw a tubular mani at his house that I'm pretty sure he's putting on soon. If not, ask if he'll port yours for a few $. He did a good job porting mine!

So we put the stock manifold back on the car, and now the car will not boost over 18psi(which is wastegate pressure i believe) and it takes until 5k to hit full boost with a stock turbo. Any new ideas? or is it probably the wastegate?
