You and me both brotha. I ripped my lip off a couple years ago and had it repaired at the body shop i was working for at the time. They repainted the whole bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. The paint/clear coat quality was crap, a year later it started to chip/crack, etc. Just a month ago I ripped the damn lip off again while pulling into an incline driveway which I took at a 45 degree angle - still wasn't enough. Now I've got sheet metal screws holding the bumper and lip together. I've spent all morning checking with dealers and I've just resigned myself to buying it from the stealership. My price is $630.77 for the front bumper cover, mounting hardware, AND the GSR front lip. Another $500 for paint should get me sitting pretty.

Man I'm glad I work in the auto repair industry...parts be relatively cheap.

Good luck though.

Yeah, I ripped mine of when we had the snow. Something was in the middle of the road that I couldnt see under the snow and it just ripped it clean off. I thought I drove over something...and I did...it was my lip... I want to stay with an VIII bumper, but also like the IX bumper too. At this point Ill take what I can get... I work in the auto industry too, but body stuff is still $$$$ unfortunately. Thanks!
