fs635 to hta86 results

first off, thanks to Aaron and the ER crew for the good work they've done on my car over the past year or so.

the other thread where aaron posted (under dyno results):
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ool-2-4-a.html

got my car down to ER again for what I think are the last upgrades to my car (engine wise) for awhile

decided to switch out turbos....

when i bought the car, it already had an fs635 turbo kit on it, made awesome power:

added magnus v5 intake manifold:

swapped out fs635 for hta86 (finally broke 700whp):

my main purpose for upgrading to the 86 was to break the 700whp mark, but what convinced me the most was the faster spool characteristics. doesn't look like too much difference between the two turbos though. i think i'm done at this point, and may upgrade cams down the road, but for now, i'm happy where the car is at and don't want to push it any further.

ER FTW!

Sweet! I'm glad you decided to go with the 86 afterall. Congrats on reaching that goal. Good stuff!

thanks! it just took me awhile to snag a good deal on one. was planning on putting it on in the summer, but had to take advantage of ER's trailer trip up here recently. setup is maxed out, but i think i'm where i want to be with the car now.
time to work on suspension upgrades! i need some coilovers....

It's good to see some more 86 results. I only personally know of 2 cars in the NW running this setup and only you are maxed out. The other is still on pump gas tune.

Coil overs would be nice! Something outside of the engine bay for a change.

I'm still scrambling to get my NHRA spec cage done. There is only a couple of months left.

It will also be interesting to compare your car against Anthony's. We will see back to back what the difference in the cams does in this combo. Assuming that Anthony's port work is just cleaning up the ports like it looked when Brandon and I looked at it when he owned the car we'll see what Jeff Magic does as well.

It's going to be done by a guy named Robb. He does most of the cages for TC Motorsports and Pat's Auto right next door in Auburn. Really good cage builder from everything I hear.

Yeah that would be cool. It will be worth it to see if Anthony will benefit at all from S3's and Bush Master port. I am running smaller injectors though so that might hold me back a little bit. Either way, I am bolting it on the same night I get it.

Happy Birthday Aaron!

I accidentally clicked old school NW and found you posted. Same setup as before with the black. 2.4 LR, 9:1. Just swapping the black with ETS HTA 3586 tial v-band. I'm like 90% done. Had to stick an o2 bung in my new test pipe for my wide band then is off to visit Aaron as soon as I can.
