5 plus people and Al will come to tune Evo's! Anyone interested?
so people down so far are:
1.CJK
2.DerekW
3.Mikec
4.AShunn?
5.
ashunn, hurry up and get your stuff!
Whenever we get 5 people to do this, than I can get a hold of Al and he will come up...I am hoping this can happen soon! Weird though how this is big in the midwest...as he is closer to that area, but you would think people here in Wa would want to have him tune our Ecu's
unless you all are big on tuning systems on your own...go with hassle free way of tuning your car and big hp gains of the dynoflash

CJK, What's the cost and expected arrival time if we do get enough folks? If we are looking at some time in early Feb., I will have at least the intake, and maybe the boost controller (still researching which one is the better, any help appreciated).
Any idea on when Al would be coming up and what the cost for the street tune would be?
PS I'm definitely in, I will have Al tune the car completely stock if necessary, I'd just rather have my goodies in before then.

Man, I'm really surprised not more people are jumping on this opportunity! Have you guys just not seen all the awesome reviews from other EVO owners on the Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain? Al is now consistantly getting 30-50 lb/ft of torque increases and 30+ hp increases at the top end. This is a mod that requires nothing to be bolted up, no additional lines to splice, wires to tap, noises to endure, or poor driveability. This is also a mod that has a money back guarantee and free tickets to return to stock or mod as often as you wish.
We're looking at a mod that will certainly give you more enjoyment every time you get into your car. Everyone here bought the car for it's performance and is an enthusiast at least at some level. This mod offered by Al will only make you enjoy your car more!

OK guys, here is the cost and info. I have received from Al. The cost for the street tune (2.5hrs) is $550 per guy, that is if we get 5 people...I don't know if that number changes with more people
People who already have the mail in flash are looking at $300 for the 2.5hr street tune.
He could come sometime in March if we all get or crap in order and get more people signed on to do this...his street tune, he says, gives the same results as the dyno except for you are monitoring everything inside of the car while it is being driven!
If anyone else has further questions, let me know. Thanks
Clint
I am sure he would dyno tune if we wanted, but I don't know where a awd dyno is in Wa.?

Thanks Derekw, I will investigate into that more when we atleast get 5 people....otherwise we are looking at the price of Al tuning and also Dyno time...but I will be sure to check into it when and if we get 5 plus people
OK... So I went down to Laguna Seca and Thunderhill this past weekend for the SpeedVentures track days and the Socal/Nocal EVO meet. I was given the opporunity to ride in a few tuned cars around the track. Checking out the power mods as well as suspension.
After riding in the in person Dynoflashed car of Robi's. I absolutely *NEED* to get an in person flash from Al. I already have the mail in flash and can not be any happier with the results. But after being in Robi's car with the Buschur Stage IV and the in person Dynoflash, it was simply stunning. I'm talking about stunning even for a guy that had an 800 hp Supra!
Come on guys. Lets all shoot to have Al up here for some tuning sometime in March. That'll give all of us a chance to save, buy, and install any hardware that you would want tuned with the flash.
For guys that have stock cars, this mod will blow you away.

How about this...
For those of you that are on the fence about the flash. I'm willing to give you a ride in my car so you can get a feel for yourself on how the car responds to the flash. Respond to this thread and we'll see what we can do.
I would like to emphasize that I do not usually do this since I'm not a fan of giving joy rides to strangers. But I really want Al to have the opportunity to be up here so I can get an in person flash.
As far as reliability goes. I drove from Seattle to Monterey 900+ miles away, tracked the car at Laguna Seca the next day, then drove 250 miles to Thunderhill Raceway and did 2 days of track event there. Then drove home 700 miles the next day. I did 2500 miles of driving in 3 days, burned through tanks and tanks of gas, and the car runs awesome.
Robi also drove 750 miles up to Thunderhill in his Stage IV car with flash, did 7 sessions of track time a day for 2 days, then drove home. This is an awesome setup and you should have no excuses. Especially given Al's money back guarantee!!

Any of the guys from Portland or the rest of Oregon consider this? I would be open to driving to Portland to do this if need be. Or have the PDX folks meet in the middle and do it in Centrailia (sp?) or something.

well Derek, they have full access to this post...as you can see, many have replied to other posts on this forum...but no one seems to be jumping at this...every time I have talked to Al he has been great in what to advise for mods, etc. I think some may be spooked about all of this crap that his been going on here on Evom
I understand your frustration. I tried to start a thread some time ago to get Al up here. But no one responded either. Shiv on the other hand seems to be what people are interested in, his tuning and the Xede. Also there just doesn't seem to be very many EVO's around here or EVO owners wanting to mod their cars.
You might want to try to go through Jeremy at Matrix and see if he can help get it coordinated. Matrix has the Mustang AWD Dyno. He is currently coordinating the Shiv dyno day.
Good luck.

Jeremy at Matrix is the best they come. He is super helpful. Matrix is also an authorized Vishnu installer and XEDE tuner. Those guys will set you up very well.
The pros and cons of the Dynoflash vs XEDE have been hammered through for ages and have page after page of posts. I'm not going to bother with a flame war. All I know is, I did my research and looked through the BS and decided on Al's flash. I can not be happier. I may have very well gotten the same results from Shiv, but I just don't know. All I know is that you will not be disappointed with Al's Dynoflash and I am willing to offer rides to folks on the fence to back it up. Not to claim that my car is the fastest or the baddest, just so guys can have a feel for the results vs stock.
