man, I wish they would show the part when the Talon started pulling away from the cop, btw can anybody guestimate how much hp the talon had?(I don't think a stock one could go 140mph)

 

I think the highest speed the cop on the video said they were going was 120-ish. Remember this is a show on FOX. the people who brought you "who wants to marry a millionaire" and "my big fat obnoxious fiancee" The video was from a show titled "world scariest police chases" What's scarier than 120 on sometimes crowded highways? 140.
I'm not saying he DIDN'T hit 140, or that a talon/eclipse can't hit 140 (I don't know if they have a limiter, nor do we know how the car was modded). I'm just saying that we only have the narrator's word to go on. He's a county sheriff somewhere and from the episodes I watched, he liked to blow things out of proportion. I know, I know. I couldn't believe that a cop would blow a situation out of proportion, either. But that's what I saw.
