Outlander sport regenerative braking

Does anybody have any info on the outlander sports regenerative braking? I've looked through "mitchel" and "all data", and cantfind anything relating to it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's a good question, I do know it is supposed to help charge the battery to give the alternator a bit of a break which should in turn be less drag on the car but how much it helps is a mystery. It's likely less than a 1 MPG type of benefit but every bit helps.

Also, I think it cuts fuel to the engine and uses the momentum of the wheels to turn the crankshaft, unlike some cars that shift into neutral while coasting.
