Lancer/ evo x suspension
Lancer/ evo x suspension
Has anyone confirmed for sure that the Lancer or Evo x suspension does or does not fit the outlander sport? My buddy just upgraded his evo x to bc coils. He is dropping his OEM suspension off this weekend and I am going to try and test fit in the next couple of weeks. Any input before I go through the hassle of swapping suspension for fitment would be awesome.
Also picking up Evo X gsr wheels. they will do until I find some MR bbs's.

be the pioneer! good luck, if it works thats awesome! Fronts should be no problem, its the rears you are going to have to be careful with! Let us know im sure there are a ton of guys/gals/ that will be following suit if it all pans out.
And I will be adding a evo X strut bar to the list haha. My buddy can't leave his Evo X he bought 2 weeks ago alone and thats his daily, his evo 8 is the toy with 520whp..... So jealous right now and I can't wait until I can buy another evo i miss mine so much!
Once I get the parts I will let everyone know when I will attempt the install. Also the stock suspension he is giving me has a eibach prokit on it as well, So if it all buttons up tight on the install then it will be lowered on a eibach pro kit, But I would be looking at bc coilovers for the long haul!

Sub'd.
And, please take some detail photos of the stock EVO X components for us novice folks to know/see what the differences are of what we are looking at. Much appreciated.
Also, what a Great friend you have to be giving your those "spare" parts!
Please keep us posted in your install.

It would be nice to get some evo x MR bilstiens and eibachs, or the bilstiens with some swift springs...... I am shooting for coils if they fit because I like to have the option to adjust everything and dampening force.
Indeed the rears will probably be the challenge, but it's worth seeing what it looks like. That said if you know someone that can well you probably could make just about anything work. I'm upgrading my Evo X suspension from BC racing to KW clubsports this week so maybe I'll take some measurements and see what would be needed for springs lengths to make the coilovers work. While I could certainly sell the suspension for about 1k I would keep it if I could make it work on the Outlander Sport. I also have the stock Bilstein / spring combo off my MR sitting around still, would be interesting to see how that measures up too.

I was actually talking to an owner who has a nice setup on his ride, and he says the OEM Lancer EX springs would lower our Sports at a nice drop. The pictures of his car on Instagram looks legit, and thought I'd run that by you guys for some opinions.
Do you have a link of the picture??

I was hoping one of us here in the US, can confirm. From what I see the EX looks to be the same model of our base Lancers in America.
So he gets credit, (because it drives me crazy when people post pictures of our cars and don't identify us), I found him on Instagram who's name is Evan Albert. In my opinion, he's got the cleanest Outlander Sport.
Very clean, with staggered 20" DPE wheels. Simple, clean, and at that point, I'd leave the mods alone. I just prefer Volk Racing, Vossen, or Rohana wheels(not that DPE's are cheap because they cost as much as what I'm looking for.)

Looks better than the Subaru STi hatch in many ways, after that it "just" needs a turbo and stronger drivetrain to match the looks!
I'm still running the numbers to run Stock Evo X 18x8.5" wheels (GSR or MR) or go with aftermarket 18x8" or 19x8" that are slightly lighter. 1.5"-2.0" lowered is about as far as I would want to go since it still needs to serve winter duty for me around here.
