I am working on trying to get a way to have Airtrek-fronts on our euro-Outies, since we can't retrofit projectors etc because of ECE regulations and needing stuff TÜV approved to even be able to mount headlights with projectors on a car that does not come stock with it and thus no "E4" e-markings.
I just need to get ahold of some Airtrek headlights first and then I can start prototyping my relatively "simple" solution for it. The optimal solution obviously would be to get completely mirror-casted reflectors etc, but that's hella expensive (pun not intended).
Dont know if i find that so nice would rather remain our lights but have a bettet grille

Yeah that's like 95% of the reason to swap hahahaha, the single-pillar nose thing is a bit eh. Like the creativity in that one!
edit: I have been considering ordering some CU5W xenon lights and just using the LHD-beam shield in the ones we have here, getting a way better lighting setup than the sort of awful H1 bulb
Hi and greetings from Sweden! Love your airtrek tog bad we never got Them here. But we have outlander turbo!. Could you spec THE shocks some more since modell and year seem to differ. Also if you would be so kind to spec length of sleeve and hardment of springs and length..best regards alfred
Hi, We didnt get Airtreks in USA either, we didnt even get Outlander Turbo!
The part number for the Koni civic rear shocks is koni 8050-1025. I removed the spring perch with a rubber hammer and used a clamping steel collar instead (the inner diameter is 1.75 or 44mm). The coilover sleeves are universal, they were a bit too long so I trimmed them to the right length with a grinder. You also need the correct shock tops to make these work. The oem shock tops makes the car too low. The pillow ball type that I used adds almost 2 inches to the ride height which was the perfect height for me. You can adjust the height a few millimeters using washers under or over the shock top but this setup is not meant to be height adjustable. I used 5kg swift springs in the rear and 6kg swift springs in the front.
here are some photos
I got the shock top from this coilover set. It was for a evolution 8
this is the type of collar I used
this is what my rear ride height looks like

I'm not sure going for cheaper coilovers is the move for an Airtrek, you might want to check out something like D2 Racing, they have coilovers for the Airtrek that aren't KW-priced or TEIN priced. You may be able to get BCRacing coilovers for the Airtrek as well. The only real challenge is for anyone that has a requirement for TÜV approval papers for the coilovers, thus far only KW offer that.
