[Off Topic] Extreme VR - Projected emersion Gaming!! (Proof of Concept)

I want this Right NOW!

Microsoft showed off a radical new gaming concept called the "IllumiRoom." The concept outlined a system that would use Kinect and a projector to extend gaming off the TV screen and onto a room's walls and furniture.

Pretty cool and shouldn't be too expensive. This on the other hand is what I'd love to get my hands on :- http://www.oculusvr.com/

Yeah, seen and been following this device's development. It's interesting.
Too expensive for a big mono-goggle in my opinion...

Plus, I F***ing HATE headgear that encases your head and prevents you from seeing what's physically around you Just to "give" you a 3D virtual world. Increasing your chances of crashing into walls or striking/bumping into the physical environment that you're in, ie: living, theater, or game room.

With that said, I did see this thing (at least it's Much cheaper than Oculus, $75) > vrAse

I don't own any vr kit but love the idea of being more immersed in a game. not to the point where you're walking all over the house though haha. I like that it uses a smartphone, especially considering the quality of the screens and the number of sensors on phones these days, great idea.

I have a PS3 with the move controller and machine gun, I've never enjoyed multi-player gaming more than with that set-up on Kill zone 3 and I've been playing computer/video games since the early 80's as a 6/7 year old. Nerdy as **** and gets strange looks from the wife but I do other things to counter the lameness of this particular hobby haha.
