Mud Flaps on 2013

What is everyone using for mud flaps on their 2013? Looks like the front flaps are the same across all the years, but a slight variation on the rear for +2013.

Ebay has a lot of aftermarket options but no consistant pattern on which will fit 2013 or if they are all interchangeable.

Would OEM be best?

I've seen the OEM ones, and personally, the fitment is excellent. They "flow" well with the lines, and don't look out of place like some I've seen on other makes/models. Not to say there aren't aftermarket ones that make the same pattern, just saying that the OEM design is nice.

Unfortunately, I was considering getting the OEM ones and someone (here I believe, possibly a different forum) mentioned that they increase road noise and can add wind resistance. I looked into it a little, and found that he was correct. It most likely would only be a small amount for either, but just something to be aware of.

Also, I see you're a new member, so welcome to the community. I hope you'll stick around once you find your answer. If you find your answer somewhere else, please post it back here so others can reference it in the future as well.

Now, go post some pics!

That is really helpful. I appreciate the quick response and welcome.

Good point on the resistance and road noise, something I haven't considered.

I will swing by the dealership sometime this week to check on Canadian prices. Will keep everyone posted.

Same here, the thought never even crossed my mind until it was mentioned.

According to this aftermarket dealer of OEM accessories, the 2010-2013 models all have the same fitment:

http://mitsubishi-asx.sgpetch.co.uk/...rd+Set/id=9821

Mitsubishi Parts Warehouse also lists Part Number MZ530003EX for both the 2011 and 2013 models for the Mud Guard Set. They have it listed for $96.00 USD.

Ive had the Rally Armor flaps for like 3 years now and love them. Really saves the body of the car especially in winter. According to Rally Armor the lancers are all the same and they work with the 2013. If you dont want road noise or wind resistance buy the urethane ones which is what I have. If you buy the ones from Rally Armor buy the ones for the regular lancers.

Update on pricing for Canadians (Hyatt Mitsubishi in Calgary). Different part numbers for front and rear (sold in pairs only) for 2013. $120 per pair ~ $240 total. Ouch

Yeah..
The price for the pair (sets) is not much better here in the States.
It's a shame Mitsu had to change out the rear bumpers and FORCE us into a different pair of rear mud guards.

That's why -
At the end of our negotiating... I told the Salesperson that if you can "work in" a full set of mud flaps (since we came back to you on our second O.Sport), this will seal the deal.
He ordered us the set.

Can you give us some insight about my earlier concerns? Have you noticed any increased road noise? I'd imagine the increased air resistance & lost mileage (if any) would be relatively unnoticeable, but have you seen any?

Well, to be honest...
There's absolutely no "additional" road noise that I can personally perceive.

(The lack of insulation at the wheel wells, doors & underbody, PLUS our Engine/CVT combo has quaranteed to drown out any noises that is produced by these mud flaps. )

Ok, well that's actually great to hear. I'm considering getting a set (eventually), so I was quite worried about that issue. I was weighing paint protection vs. wind noise, but paint just won!

10-4
Considering the chemicals the city uses to de-ice along with ALL the other crud that gets kicked up onto our vehicles... The Front mud flaps should be standard equipment..!

Now for the rears- Since we have such a shorten rear end there not much to worry about to protect, not really. And, who cares about any tail gate-rs who's gotten way too close to get a face full of mud that gets flinged out the rear wheels anyways?

I'm guessing these?

If they are, I'd be interested in picking some up possibly. Does anyone have pictures of these on their Outlander Sport? I'm not a big fan of the OEM ones available

If Rally Armor is the direction some of you would like to go, check out Jaos as well. Some pretty nice stuff!

I like these too, but I'm not sure I'd like the look with the chrome/metal piece on our vehicle specifically. Personal preference really.

I really like the simple look of the rallarmor ones. I wonder if the Lancer or the Universal ones would fit better on ours. Just not sure if I'm willing to drop 125.00 to guesstimate the fitment.
