I did not even see him in the video at all when you turned... some people have a touch for being over dramatic... glad he did not run up on my family... I carry 24/7 as part of my job. He would not liked to have see the barrel of my .40 cal staring back at him...

At the Very first sight of him (I had thought he was a valet personal - for a split second) then as I rolled down the window, you could hear what he was wailing about.. Obviously Not a part of the Arboretum staff.

Since I had my baby girl and wife in the back seats.. My Top priority was to defuse this guy - as safely to my family - as possible.

I gave him the "TX courtesy" - verbal apology with a leaded point.

Both my wife and the gate attendant saw what was pointing at the guy and you can hear it in her voice and what the attendant was saying to the man.

But, he was too oblivious to his situation.

Nonetheless, had a fantastic day at the Arboretum.
My wife, baby girl and our extended family who came down from Oklahoma (and was in a van just one car behind that guy > saw the whole action-TV-drama happen in front of them.)
We all had a great time at the massive Pumpkin Patch displays in Dallas Garden.

I find that a firm slap to the face knocks the sense back into most irate/drunk people. It has someone to do with resetting their thought process in that split millisecond when their brain gets jarred around.

part of chinese mediation and teachings of Sun Tzu >

... "Using order to deal with the disorderly, using calm to deal with the clamorous, is mastering one's own heart."

And, IF you'd had rolled over "his ***", then someone would have had to clean the underside of your vehicle of messy bits.
Now who in their right mind would want to have to add that chore to their weekend car wash??

I wasn't born here, but I was raised in TX. So, Texas charm is in my blood.

> Of course, it would take a Lot More than a few words out of the mouth of stumbling man to effect my mood.

No doubt.
However, with the concerns of Ebola here in Dallas > Best to avoid physical contact with anyone 'who's stumbling around the streets" like a zombie-look-alike.

Needed a GoPro on my driver-side - to capture some POV videos of his reactions..
The guy back up a few steps, after I gave him the look.
He did not approach the open window.

^^Uh, and wtf was in the road at 45 seconds?! Looked like an entire bumper or something.

I would gladly take ANY of that over completely normal, uneventful driving up here. The oh so smooth roads down there are always so sexy...

It wasn't a tumbleweed that's for sure!

As you'd noticed, whatever that piece was.. didn't even twitch when that truck wisp by it. So, it was heavy.

Ha
If you thought that was smooth...
I hate to tell you that that was just a public expressway (and a bridge to boot)

You should see (& drive on) the Tollways and/or PGBT**, they are like the autobahn.

** President George Bush Turnpike.
But you have to pay $80 per month or MORE depending on how much you drive on them.

When I saw this video and notice the user's name who posted it, and thought it was one of our forum members...

(I didn't take this dashcam video, but I know the railroad crossing very well.)

PSA : Texting & Driving

This video demonstrates one of the points that worries me now a days - each time my wife and baby have to go out driving on public roads.

These are not my videos, but gives a very good sampling of the types of vehicles (big SUVs, Trucks, Vans) & their crazy drivers out on Dallas roads (during the DAY and at night)..
