So ive installed with minor issues a Injen Sp1835 Cold air intake.
The Issue was the MAFS is not the same as the 2013, the new OS have a diamond shape mount, 2013 and lower was a box shaped mount. what i did to correct it was shave down the mounting wholes on the intake then i had to flip the sensor 180 degrees for it to work. The hole for the sensor is still the same diameter so there wasn't any machining needed there. just needs new mounting holes for the newer OS's.
Performance wise everything is up to par, throttle response has improved alot. and get up is much better and it sounds amazing. Gas Millage i havent improved much, but that's probably because i have been laying it in as much as possible. i cant get over how amazing it sounds lol
I did some machine work on a 14 Outlander as well to make the intake work for the different MAFS. I shaved one of the corners a bit, drilled and tapped new holes and just had to put one new hole in the sensor. I could be done with a file, drill and tap if needed, but it works just fine.
That's exactly what I had to do to lol. I didn't get a close up like you did, but it works that's all that matters lol
