Unhappy AC Issues

Hi! I just want to share my problem and perhaps maybe someone here can help me with it.
So i parked my RVR on storage almost for the whole spring and summer season, and when i started it today and noticed that my AC is making a "hissing" sound and is not working (not blowing cold air), and i also noticed that the indicator led for AC is yellow in colour and is flashing... i hope im not into big problems with this... note that it is working perfectly fine before i put it on storage...

From your description... probably just low on refrigerant/R-134a.

Bring it to the dealership and have them checked the level for you.

Thanks! i hope its nothing serious... yup, i can still hear the motor/compressor kicking in but no cold air aside from the hissing sound on the AC vents... refrigerant is the same as the "freon" right? thanks

Technically No.

Freon is R-12 . It was used in older cars, it is now banned! It kills the ozone.

Newer vehicles all now use R-134a in their A/C, and it's safer for the environment.

(you can Not mix the two types. it would damage your A/C system.)

Should be covered by the 5 yr warranty. Was in my Dodge. Ask for a leak check.
