There's enough factory plastic parts! Don't pay money to add more of them.

 

I feel like they would actually trap water inside them, and cause more rust than they prevent. If you're going purely for aesthetics, then sure, why not, it's your car - just might want to seal them if possible, or at least be vigilant about keeping the area lubricated.

 

I am not going to get them. Just saw them and thought it was pretty lame.
