MMC Flash fail module 36 no ecu response
MMC Flash fail module 36 no ecu response
I have a huge problem with MMCFlash module 36 and OpenPort2.0. I have mailed Hamish at Limitless, sent him pictures of the ecu case and connectors even the processor and circuitboard. But I get no response from him, and I have paid 550$ for module 36, that on the homepage says it can do all SH7058 by Can.
My car is an ASX 2.2D with Denso ECU and SH7058 processor, the case is black. When I use MMCFlash and I have choosen SH7058CAN it immediatly says No ECU Response.
I have tried to revert OpenPort 2.0 firmware to older ones but no luck, seems to be locked. My OpenPort is revision H with firmware 1.15.4474.
If I use ECUFlash I get a response from the car, like it clears the canbus, but ECUFlash says ECU Connection failed, possible locked ECU. But I clear the faultycodes with my elm327 and the car starts. But with MMCFlash It doesn't seem to do anything to the car, not clearing bus or anything.
I'm getting tired of this, bought a product that says It should support my processor and car, but it doesn't work.
Anyone else tired of crappy support for expensive products? Anyone else having the same problem with MMCFlash?

i'm not familiar with MMCFlash, but i can tell you that your battery better be fully charged and on a battery charger if you are flashing the ECU.
i bricked my Evo ECU flashing with the Cobb Accessport - luckily the folks at Cobb provide excellent customer service and unlocked it for the price of just shipping it to them.
apparently Mitsubishi's are more sensitive to battery level when flashing, unlike Subaru's, which i've flashed a lot without issue.

So 1 month has gone and Hamish and the developer still doesn't have any solutions, not a Word from them since I wrote here last.
Seems to be a scam and I have mailed Hamish again and asked if they realy are going to solve it or if I get my money back.

I can just warn about all MMCModules, seems like a big scam. I have not found anyone that actually got them working as they should. Now you can't register anymore to Tactrix forum, you never get the activation mail, so It seems like they took the money and have run for it.
Finally MMCFlasher team fixed the problem, so it is now possible to benchflash/read denso 4N13 and 4N14 ecu with OpenPort and MMCFlasher. Can also inform that later 4N14 ecus have SH7059 chipset and problaly later 4N13 too.
