Outlander Sport : Triple 'Mystery' Feature
The actual event started back on Sunday - Nov. 15, 2015. It was getting dark and started to storm. So, I wasn't able (nor was I thinking about documenting what was occurring with the CUV at the time.)
I Just wanted to get my family out of the approaching storm and home safe.
Luckily we met a very kind family (a guy, his wife and two little boys) who not only tried to help us jump start our vehicle, but when it was obvious it wasn't going to start.. And the storm was picking up. So,
I thanked them for trying and told them to go and get their family to safety but the guy said he wasn't going to leave us out here alone. He asked what else he could do for us... I asked if he can give us a tow - at least out of this park to a neighborhood street. He agreed but didn't have any tow gear. Fortunately, I had all emergency kit (with tow equipment) and it came in very handy, they were able to get us out of the storm and to their house. Ended up standing a few hours at their place til the storm subsided a bit & had a taxi to get my family home.
The very next morning after I got a taxi back to our vehicle, I took this video.
Worrying Symptoms:
1. Would not start. (even after attempted jump start)
2. "ASC System needs Service warning"
3. "Transmission Overheat warning"

Did you fiddle with the ASC switch? http://www.mitshelp.com/micont-1180.html
Battery is probably dead as a door nail. Mine just died out of nowhere last month (I have a 2014 with 34k miles on it). Mine isn't a push start, but was essentially throwing every strange error on the display possible. Jump starting did no good and when I took my battery in they acted like it was ancient with how the battery tested out. Ended up spending $100 on a new battery and all is well now.
More then likely a dead battery, mine happened a couple month's back and dash lit up like Christmas tree, apparently when the battery is too low or dead the car get confused and throws random errors, like you i had the ASC, transmission, TPS and etc warnings go off. I would just get it topped up as much as possible and get a new battery do not go back to dealership with the battery apparently Mitsubishi doesn't put in the good battery they do the job but just. Since you have an SE/GT in Canada, this model is a power hog, get a better battery from your local shop or see if the dealership sells something better then what was in then stock wouldn't count on it.

I would be cautious as to what caused the problem. I have ideas like others but I am not sure. I have comments though.
1.Wouldn't jump starting (or rather the failed attempt) eliminate the dead battery scenario?
2. You have a 4WD/AWD vehicle, it is not supposed to be towed (only if lifted fully on a flat bed truck). You may have had caused more problems.

Uh oh... you are right about flatbed. Except I will add that I had to get my AWD Caravan towed out of the ditch one time and they just attached a line to the hitch and towed it out that way. Car was in neutral. For longer distances it was always on a flatbed (at it was on a lot - It's a Dodge afterall!

I will bet its just a battery issue. The clicking you hear is the relays for the starter motor. My wife's Sonata did the same thing, with all sorts of error codes, and we couldn't jump it either. The dealership said its hard to jump because during manufacturing they spay the exposed portions of the terminals with some anti corrosion stuff that is dielectric. Dont know if that's true of Mitsubishi.
BTW Did you use the Mitsubishi roadside assistance for the tow?

To everyone who's commented & suggested possible cause and solutions.
Thank you.
Just a quick status update-
Our O.S. is back up and running!
I will provide a more detailed diagnosis of what happened and what the dealership found later tonight/by the weekend.
I have their "work sheet" which I will post. And, some of my thoughts on the matter.
Thanks again everyone.
