Rear LED lights sold on ebay?

Hi! New member here and i have just bought a new 2016 Mitshubishi Asx 2.2 diesel with automatic transmission. The cars is not yet delivered but i have som things i would like to change and the first thing is the stock tail lights that is for least me ruin the cars look and makes it look really old!

Have found smoked/red led tail light on ebay and aliexpress and wonder in anyone have fitted these without any issues on a 2016 year model? My car has stock led's but they look the same as early models from 2010-2017

The car has keyless entry and a start/stop button and to start the engine the brake lights have to be active so i don't want to have any issues with this

Tanks for help

Welcome to our community. I had a chance to testdrive the 2.2 turbodiesel with the 6 speed automatic some two years ago in Berlin, when it was introduced. It is a nice ride but quite pricey. Did you find the 1.6 or 1.8 (may not be available any more) turbo diesel too low in power or just wanted automatic? The European selection is quite different from what engine and transmission options we have here. In fact, nothing is available here (1.6 gasoline (5MT). 1.6 diesel (6MT), 1.8 diesel (6MT), 2.2 diesel (6AT)) from your options and vice versa.
As to your question, many people installed the LED tail lights with success. Here are few examples:

Keep in mind though that the light output is much lower from these tail lights than from the stock.

Ok thanks for the information! Is the less visibility big difference from stocks? I mean I don't want to have safety issue in traffic when driving 😨

The 2016 asx is for sale on campaign price due the new facelift 2017! I wanted awd and automatic transmission and the only available engine was the 2.2 diesel. I paid nearly 27.000$ for the asx and then it is with the business plus package. I don't know the pricing over there but here it's a fairly good price for a new car with all the extras

You can judge yourself from the video above under #756. One side stock the other the smoked aftermarket unit.

I had the sticker price info when it came out. It is always smart to take advantage of the discounts. Enjoy your new ride.
